THE HOUSEHOLD OF SIR STEPHEN - DESCRIPTION
Sir Stephen has based his Household upon the
structure and management
principles typically associated with Victorian Manor Houses.
He believes in training those in service to
him to be responsive to his needs
but also to be capable of a great range of independent action in the fulfillment
of their assigned roles and responsibilities.
He believes the role of the Master is to create
a structure, rules, rituals and protocols
that will result in a safe, sane, consensual space in which service can be joyfully
provided
and gratefully received. He believes that the Master further enhances the likelihood
for success
in attaining these goals if he serves, not just a manager and disciplinarian,
but as spiritual leader as well.
He believes that when all these elements combine
together the outcome can be a spiritually based,
productive, harmonious Household that serves the wishes of the Master, the needs
of those in service,
and the community at large.
As of this entry (July 2007) the core Household
consists of Sir Stephen and his servant slave catherine.
They have been in an M/s relationship for over 10 years.
The Household, has, in the past, been augmented
by several individuals in temporary service and there is
currently one additional servant in temporary part-time service.
